We are happy to announce a new monthly event featuring Texas authors with their newest books. Each month we will feature a book discussion and signing with 2 or 3 Texas writers with an emphasis on emerging talent and first books. We are primarily interested in books with Texas themes or Texas locales.

Saturday January 19th, 2013
2:00-4:00 p.m.

We kick off the program with the following guests:

Brenda Blair: Because of the Camels, an historical fiction based on actual events from 1850s Galveston and elsewhere in Texas.

Lisa Bossier: Queen of the Waves, a Christian historical fiction involving the hurricane in Galveston in 1943 during WWII.

Sue Mayfield Geiger: Gibbons Street, a memoir of a Texas working class family told through poetry and photography.

Join us on Saturday and meet the authors!

Upcoming event dates:

February Meet & Greet: Saturday the 23rd
March Meet & Greet: Saturday the 16th
April Meet & Greet: Saturday the 20th

If you are a Texas writer and would like to participate, please contact Sharan Zwick at (409) 750-8200 or email at oleandercity@yahoo.com.
