Sandcastle of Pirates Beach

Sandcastle of Pirates Beach: War of the Sky-Lords, Book One
by D. Edward Williams

Galveston Bookshop will host a book signing on Saturday, August 17th, 2:00-4:00 p.m. for author D. Edward Williams with his new book, the first in a YA fantasy series set in Galveston.

Book One of the War of the Sky-Lords series is a youthful adventure of magic and myth making. High adventure awaits two cousins when they accidentally stumble upon a hidden magical sandcastle at Pirate’s Beach.

They are soon swept into an enchanted new world when a mysterious artifact shrinks them to the size of the local sand crabs. Exploring inside the sandcastle, the cousins quickly make new friends and formidable enemies. Through battles and ancient puzzles, they journey through an underground realm, only to learn that what has been taught them in their history books might be very different in real life, including the legends of local pirates, and other events related to Galveston Island. The journey through the Sandcastle’s domain reveals treasure both physical and spiritual.

D. Edward Williams is a long-time Houston resident who has spent many a weekend raising his family on Pirate’s Beach in Galveston.
