Galveston, Texas and Belize serve as the tropical backgrounds for a story transected by the crimes of human trafficking, murder and deceit. Hunter, a Galveston native, is obsessed with untangling a complex net of nefarious activity that has ensnared his reputation and culminated in a downward personal spiral. He becomes the target of the criminals who will resort to extreme measures to silence him, while dodging the local prosecutor who harbors both a personal and professional grudge.
