The title of the collection comes from a much used phrase &#8211; of undocumented origin &#8211; &#8220;Whiskey is for drinking; water is for fighting over.&#8221; The articles have appeared in newspapers across Southeast Texas and parts of the Hill Country. The book seeks to inform readers of the kinds of challenges to water supply and demand that the future holds.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Chris O&#8217;Shea Roper<\/strong> is a freelance writer and editor, having collaborated on over 50 books, numerous papers, and over 100 news articles. She writes often on coastal ecological issues.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thomas L. Linton, PhD<\/strong> is a marine scientist with 30 years of experience in the field as a marine resource manager, teacher and researcher.
