The book takes a look at the Moody family, a team of talented players, and the island city that rallied around them, and weaves it all into a captivating must-read history for baseball fans all over Texas and beyond. 170 pages with many photographs and illustrations.

baseball-on-the-prairie-cover-340wPublished in 2014, Baseball on the Prairie is subtitled, “How Seven Small-Town Teams Shaped Texas League History,” and covers the early days of the league and the people and towns that made this centuries-old institution possible. Teams from Sherman, Denison, Paris, Corsicana, Cleburne, Greenville and Temple are the focus of this detailed history with photographs.
